1.Most interviews are conducted face to face or on a phone.Face to face allows you to see what they are feeling when telling the story.On the phone gives the interviewed more privacy so they may open up more

2.Set up a a time for the interview a couple of days early

3.bring a recorder and 1 to 2 pencil and pen and write down key-points and maybe even the time it was said

4.start a conversation  try to make them comfortable the more comfortable they are the better the interview

5.Always let them finish talking before asking the next question

6.go into the interview with an idea of questions to ask

7.let the interview last as it needs to be. So it will be complete after you are done and the story is complete thank them for their time.
