Huey P. Long

Huey P. Long was the 40th governor of Louisiana. Huey P. Long greatly influenced our state. He expanded and paved highways and built several hospitals and schools. He started several programs to help the economy which may have influenced Franklin Roosevelt's new Deal program. Huey Long is known to some as a Dictator, to others a Hero.
Long build several new state buildings. He built a new state capital building and a new Governor's mansion. The mansion looks like the white house, which was propally influenced by Long's plans to become president. The year before he would have ran for president he was assassinated in the state capitol. Dr. Carl Weiss attacked Long though it is unclear whether or not it was Dr. Weiss or Long's bodyguards that killed him.
During the attack several bullets ricocheted off the walls which may have killed him. Dr. Weiss's body was shot over 50 times by his Bodyguards. Later it was argued on whether medical incompetence had been present and he could have been saved. One of the doctors claims that if he had insisted on an autopsy he may have been saved. Long's death stopped most of his systems in that nation but not in the state. Several of his systems are still in place today. Even his campaigning ideas where used long after his death.

Final exam- biblos.com

Reference verses-
John 20:10-18
1 Corinthians 15
Matthew 28:18-20

The daily devotional on Biblos.com was about Jesus's Resurrection. Jesus's Resurrection fulfilled many of the prophecies from the old testament and from Jesus himself. His return from death showed God's power over death and how Jesus is still alive. If Christ was dead there would be no point point in following a dead God.
But by being resurrected It proved his power over life and death. "If he had not come back to life it would be a natural human reaction to doubt his power. But since he came back it dispelled all doubts. Our whole religion is founded upon the foundation of Jesus. If he was dead there would be no foundation to our faith . Jesus defeated death like he will when he comes back the second time.
When he comes back to earth he will bring all of the people whose name is written in the book of life to  heaven where as heaven is perfect there is no death. this can be applied to our lives in many ways. One way is prayer. We know that if God can raise someone from the dead he can solve our problems if we have faith.

Joe
There was once a man named Joe. Joe was a completely ordinary person. That lived in the town of Nothing. But Joe moved away from nothing, since there was nothing there. So Joe moved to Kentucky. Then Joe opened up a Taco store. Joe sold tacos to everybody in Kentucky. But then a man named Paco opened up a taco store next door to his. Paco’s tacos store was taking all his business because of how much cooler Paco’s tacos sounds when compared to Joe’s tacos. Joe knew if he didn’t do something his taco store would go out of business and he would have to move back to nothing. So Joe began to plan out how he would defeat Paco’s tacos. Eventually he decided he would drive a car into Paco’s tacos. Joe filled the car with gasoline and drove into Paco’s taco. Then he lit a match left it near the gasoline and jumped out and began to run. Then the car blew up and destroyed Paco’s taco building. The next day Joe’s tacos were once again the only taco selling business nearby. But Taco rebuilt his taco business and made it right next door again. Soon Paco’s tacos were once again beginning to bring Joe out of business. So Joe knew he would have to do something to stop Paco so Joe began making a second plan to destroy Paco’s taco restaurant. Joe rented a helicopter and landed on the roof of Paco’s taco business. Then he began shouting “don’t buy these tacos!”
But then Paco rented a helicopter and a megaphone and landed on Joe’s roof. Paco began shouting “buy at Paco’s tacos not here!” With Paco’s megaphone nobody could hear Joe so everyone bought Paco’s tacos and Joe went out of business.
Then Joe moved back to Nothing and made a new Taco store. But then Paco showed up and made a taco store right next door again. So soon Joe was going out of business again. Joe decided he needed a cooler name then Paco’s tacos. But he couldn’t think of a name that was cooler than Paco’s tacos.
So Joe Sold his taco store and made a burrito store. He began selling burritos to everybody at nothing. But then a man named Burro moved into nothing and opened Burro’s burritos. Once again Joe couldn’t compete with the cooler name. So he got a helicopter and crashed it into   Burro’s burrito store. Then he quickly ran away. But the police found him and arrested him for destroying Burro’s burrito store. So Joe went to jail forever for ruining a burrito store. Then Joe spent the rest of his life serving tacos in the lunch room at his prison the end
