AAP concerns

1#Books sales: according to the AAP book sales have increased 11.6% average in April compared to last year adult hardcover book sales have rised nearly 50% and 16.2% for the yearthough most of the other books went down by 2% average though lots of education book sales have gone up greatly for the most part with proffesional books rising 70 % and highter education books going up 115%.

2#on august 24 the AAP announced that Susan Peterson Kennedy president of penguin group usa will take over the chair of the aaps trade publishers. “With the advent of new technologies, books are being read in multiple formats and social media allow readers and authors to share their experiences with new audiences. Publishers provide readers with quality content and ensure that publishing expertise is behind every title. The book market is undergoing a seismic transformation, and challenges and opportunities lie ahead. This is an exciting time to be a book publisher. We’re delighted that Susan is bringing her legendary energy and talent to AAP on the industry’s behalf.”(tom Allen).Susan peterson kennedy says nearly the same thing as tom allen she syas the change in the compant makes it realy exiting to be a publisher.

3#books tracked by the aap this march on the hard back book they have gained 15% sales though soft back books have lost about 18% of sale.while audio books still are rising in sales the education section is still steady with sales up profesional books up 27.3% the higher ed went  down 2.1%

4#the aap appauleds the surpreme court when it ruled 8 to 1 in the usa VS. stevens case in a case that the government was trying to make a ammandment to the right of speach against animla cruelity and after the case a statue was torn down thet was broadly crimilizing animal cruelity the law started when a company tried to ilegalize some videos mostly about stomping on small animals though the law was meant to regulate it. it instead was made to broad lagalizing things like the staue that was torn down.
