George Muller was born on September 27, 1805 in Germany.He was a christian evangleist that Directed the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol he taught 10,024 children in England.He is remembered for teaching orphans because that is mostly who he taught.He was actually accused of raising the poor above their natural station.e established 117 schools which have taught over 120,000 mostly orphan children.he was educated by Cathedral classic school.
e was born in Prussia(modern day germane) Kroppenstaedt a small village.His family moved to a nearby town where his father was appointed a collector of taxes.His life did not really have a righteous start.he was stealing government money from his father by 10.when his mother was dyeing when he was 14 he was drinking a gambling .This changed when his father had him go to colledge to study divinety to be come a clergyman at the local church.He met another student there(beta) that eventually invited him to a prayer meeting when he got home he accepted christ.
he went to work with london in their program to share God with jews but he fell ill and was sent to a small town where he methenery craik.Henery craik became a life long friend.Henery invited him to become a pastor at his church where he began by getting rid of renting pews and refused a salery saying God will take care of his needs.He married Marry groves.He eventually began working to build orphanges with at first one house that could fit 30 children he eventually had 5 houses built each holding 250 to 450 children he did not ask for any finacial help and did not fall into dept.e started traveling and teaching the word later and he traveled 200,000 miles and spoke sermons in french german and returned to England, where he died on March 10, 1898 in New Orphan House No 3.
