blog assignment #14: Media"

1#How much is to much for the media?One example i think it too much is the nearly week long story on the barracks getting a dog.would think the media would put focus on things like new laws and other stuff.It is just dumb that they probally put a total of 2 hours on the story.You would think the barracks should be able to get a dog in privacy.They probally got at least a thousand different suggestions for the name.I have also seen a ton of articles on random stuff like his daughters curfew.

2#The second story i think of is when tiger woods got divorced.The little checkout thing in wall-mart with all the magazines was nothing but that for days.There were adds and rumors going crazy for a while it still has not completely died down even though it was a couple of years ago.You would thing people could get more focused on his golf but apparently people care more about what he had for breakfast.The only thing that was legimate in that time period was when a rumor that his wife graffiti-ed his golf cart i still have no idea if its true or not but at least you see his golfcart every once and a while.

    Like with presidents once you are famous people start caring a lot more about what you do at home then what you did that made you famous.Its sort of annoying lke how on EVERY channel on tv they muted it and on some changed it to obamas trip to the whitehouse.Which most people do not care about unless he got assasinated.I once saw a whole 30 minute thing on the gloves they wore on the  address.Which you would think they could get gloves without having  2 million people wear the same gloves just because they wore them.Thus in most cases of celebritys and other famous people realy once they become  famous they will be known not for what sport they play but what every the media says.This gives the media a huge responsibility because most people are not going to  drive all the way to the white house just to verify if something is true or see if any new laws were passed.

   Like i said the media is given the responsibility of getting accurate news to people who in other cases would never hear of it.Though the media is also looked on to publish articles from the local area and important articles from faraway.The media usally will try to get to legiamate sources but you should always check them just in case liek to say they would not get  Drew Brees to do a article on Baseball.

         So though the media is a great supplier of new is sometimes wrong and in most cases its their job to catch that mistake and correct it. it every once in a while one will slip by.Thus it is always ok to be safe and check the sources.he media has lots of power and if it is used wrong it can hurt lots of people.
