Marie Antoinette was born November 1755 inside the holgbug palace in vienna toFrancescis I, Holy Roman Emperor, and Maria Theresa, Queen of hungary. When her father dies from stroke she was left to co rule with her siblings. She married the king of france louis to strrenghen the complex alliance that was made after the 7 years war.She had very little influence since france and austria were enemies and the king was raised to think austians as bad people. She had 3 children Marie Thérèse, Louis Charles and Louis Joseph. After the french revolution the revolutionaries in the court began spreading rumors which began declining her little reputation in france.when war broke out with austia she was vieed as an enemy evan though she was against the austians claim of french lands. After several defeats against austia people began rioting in franch and the royal palace was attacked and the swiss mercenaries were massacarred .They were captured and put into a tower. The kings trial ended with execusion. Her trial was evan worse.Unlike the kings trial she was given only one day to prepare the king was given 3.She was found guilty and was sentenced to beheading. Before she was beheaded she wrote a touching letter to her sister but the letter was never sent to her.Beforebeing beheaded she remarkedly said Pardon me Sir, I meant not to do it" to Sanson the executioner when she had stepped on his foot. Her body was put into an unmarked grave. In the boutbon restoration the her body and louis were dug up and regonized and put into a proper tomb. She had a great role in the french revolution.her being austian reflected on the crown and people started to look at the crown and the palace.they always thought the king was above them and then they started thinking he was just human and the place was just a small fort. The phrase let them eat cake it given to her though there is no evidence she said it.It was said in a famine when they were told the jounalist might have or might have not added the phrase to add to the peoples dislike of her,.it was actually said by a queen a 100 years before out of ignorance of how common people lived.
